Town Board addresses water compliance and staffing at May work session
Town Board · Meeting of May 4, 2026
NY ROYALTON — Royalton Town Board prepares compliance notice and staffing transition. Water/Sewer Superintendent Brian Cummings reported the board must post a "Notice of Violation" on water bills and website due to a late Emergency Response Plan submission to the state. Of the 30 water meters needing replacement, 20 residents have refused access, leaving bills estimated for two years.
Highway Superintendent Shawn Zglinicki announced Dave Keyes' retirement and the May 18 start date for replacement Brian Cummings Jr. The Town Clerk indicated multiple resolutions will be prepared, including reappointment of Planning Board member Justine Seefeldt for a five-year term. The bid opening for the Foot Road Culvert Replacement Project is set for June 10 at 11 a.m.
